[EN] The Nela River, with the patience and tenacity that characterizes the works of nature, has excavated over millions of years a fantastic natural arch through the rock. What the river did to continue on its way to the Ebro, man took advantage of to stay there and create an urban complex of extravagant beauty, in which the tower-palace of the Brizuela family and the church of San Pelayo stand out, with Romanesque remains . The people who inhabited these lands did not hesitate to attribute the grandeur of this work to God himself, which is why the town that was born and grew up on such a fabulous work was called Puente Dei, that is, Bridge of God.
