Britse militaire begraafplaats uit de Eerste Wereldoorlog, gelegen op het gehucht De Linde, op ongeveer 800 meter ten zuiden van de kerk van Kemmel, aan de voet van de Kemmelberg.

Lindenhoek is een gehuchtje ten zuiden van Kemmel, waar voor de oorlog o.m. een chalet stond waarnaar de begraafplaats genoemd werd. De eerste begravingen gebeurden hier in maart 1915. Gevechtseenheden en medische posten (‘field ambulances’) bleven deze begraafplaats gebruiken tot oktober 1917. Na de oorlog werden ongeveer 130 graven uit de slagvelden rond Kemmel toegevoegd. Volgens het huidige register liggen er 317 doden begraven, waarvan er 69 niet geïdentificeerd konden worden. Het gaat om 282 doden uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk (waarvan 65 ongeïdentificeerd), 10 Australiërs (waarvan 1 ongeïdentificeerd), 15 Canadezen, 8 Nieuw-Zeelanders (waarvan 1 ongeïdentificeerd) en 2 ongeïdentificeerde Duitsers. Er staan 6 ‘special memorials’ ter herdenking aan militairen, waarvan aangenomen wordt dat ze onder een naamloze grafsteen liggen.

De begraafplaats is ontworpen door Ch. Holden (hoofdarchitect) en W.C. Von Berg (uitvoerend architect).

Lindenhoek Chalet Military Cemetery is een rechthoekige begraafplaats met een oppervlakte van ca. 1400m². De begraafplaats bevindt zich op een hoger niveau dan de straat, het terrein is genivelleerd. De begraafplaats kan betreden worden via een hoog tweeledig smeedijzeren hek tussen hooggeplaatste bakstenen bloembakken, dat uitkomt op een met bakstenen ommuurd en geplaveid platform, dat via terrassen, bedekt met gras en voorzien van trappen uit witte natuursteen, verbonden is met de eigenlijke begraafplaats. In deze toegangspartij zijn een zitbank, de metalen infoplaat, het registerkastje en de drietalige landplaat terug te vinden. De begraafplaats wordt omgeven door een bakstenen muur, afgedekt met witte natuursteen, aan enkele zijden met een groenscherm ervoor. Het ‘Cross of Sacrifice’ (type A) staat centraal aan de westkant van de begraafplaats. Het geheel wordt getooid met bloemperken en struiken.

Le cimetière militaire du chalet Lindenhoek est un cimetière rectangulaire d'une superficie d'environ 1400 m². Le cimetière est à un niveau supérieur à la rue, le terrain est nivelé.
