This quote from one of Saint John's Epistles is on a plaque for a time capsule in the yard next to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral on North Main Street in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The plaque, affixed to a stone, was created to commemorate the parish's sesquicentennial from 1847 to 1997. A time capsule was placed there to celebrate this milestone. On the plaque is a quote from Saint John's First Epistle, one of three include in the New Testament. It is from chapter three, verse one, and says, "See what the Father has bestowed on us in letting us be called Children of God! Yet that is what we are!" This begins the chapter in which Saint John exhorts his readers to live in righteousness and avoid sin.
