Se considera que es la estructura de este tipo más grande de Europa. Tiene veinticinco metros de largo, cinco de ancho y cuatro de alto, y fue construido con treinta y dos megalitos, el mayor con un peso de unas 180 toneladas. Después de completar la cámara (que probablemente sirvió como tumba para las familias gobernantes) y el camino que conducía al centro, la estructura de piedra se cubrió con tierra y se construyó en la colina que se puede ver hoy. Cuando se abrió y examinó la tumba en el siglo XIX, los arqueólogos encontraron los esqueletos de varios cientos de personas en su interior.

El dolmen se encuentra a solo 70 metros (230 pies) del Dolmen de Viera.

It is considered to be the largest such structure in Europe. It is twenty-five meters long, five meters wide and four meters high, and was built with thirty-two megaliths, the largest weighing about 180 tons. After completing the chamber (which probably served as a tomb for the ruling families) and the path leading to the center, the stone structure was covered with earth and built on the hill that can be seen today. When the tomb was opened and examined in the 19th century, archaeologists found the skeletons of several hundred people inside.
