Een mooi huis in Amersfoort, met in de top mooi sier-baksteenwerk met het jaartal 1619. Net boven de begane grond zijn aan de zijkant van het pand twee chimera’s van witte kalksteen geplaatst. De chimera’s hebben in de verte iets weg van leeuwen. Nu zit er een kledingzaak in, maar ik heb ook een foto uit 1916 gevonden; toen werd er haring verkocht. De fotograaf trekt duidelijk veel bekijks, het zal toen erg bijzonder zijn geweest dat er een foto werd genomen. Misschien werd een in 1916 een feestje gehouden vanwege de stichtingsdatum van het pand (1619).

Huis met trapgevel, 1619 gedateerd, met mozaiekwerk, sierankers en maskers, bekroond door schilddragende leeuw. Achterzijde eenvoudige topgevel van vroeger datum.

A beautiful house in Amersfoort, with beautiful ornamental brickwork at the top with the year 1619. Two chimeras of white limestone have been placed on the side of the building just above the ground floor. The chimeras look a bit like lions. Now it contains a clothing store, but I also found a photo from 1916; then herring was sold. The photographer clearly attracts a lot of attention, it must have been very special then that a photo was taken. Perhaps a party was held in 1916 because of the foundation date of the building (1619).<
