Children's television host and advocate Mister Rogers is quoted, along with others, on a sign at Endelson Playground in Bondsville, Palmer, Massachusetts. The blue and white sign hangs from a wood frame in the middle of the public park, between the playground and basketball court. Recognition of funding sources and donors to its 2015 renovation project are below the park's name and the Fred Rogers (1928-2003) quote.

"Play is really the work of childhood." - Fred Rogers

"The best way to make children good is to make them happy." - W. Brian Donovan

"Imagine it, believe it, live it!" - John W. Lizak, Sr.

"Children grow best in Grampy's garden of love." - Chief Jack Sullivan

The primary quote is from a passage in his 1995 book, You Are Special: Neighborly Words of Wisdom from Mister Rogers: "Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
