La portada ofrece una composición manierista, destacando un volado balcón que le aporta cierto aire civil al edificio. La torre, de estilo manierista se eleva hasta la cornisa del tejado y dos más con chapitel bulboso embutida entre dos contrafuertes, presenta también dos momentos constructivos. Torre que ha sido restaurada en el año 2012 por el Área de Patrimonio Histórico del Ayuntamiento de Antequera. Muy diversas han sido las reparaciones que ha sufrido este templo, se destacan las de 1668 que se cambia la armadura mudéjar de la nave que fue diseñada por Diego de Si loé por la bóveda de medio cañón con lunetos que vemos ahora. La capilla mayor fue remodelada dentro del estilo manierista, a ella se accede mediante un gran arco triunfal de medio punto. Tiene planta rectangular y cubierta con bóveda gótica, espacio cubierto con decoración de yeserías y con lienzos embutidos con la vida de San Agustín. Conformando por tanto una unidad espacial muy equilibrada, con ornamentaciones en estuco, con frutas, escudos, cabezas… En la nave central se sitúan los retablos de Santa Rita, Santa Bárbara y la Capilla del Santo Entierro así como en el lado del evangelio se abren unas capillas que son interesantes en cuanto a sus cubiertas y a los elementos arquitectónicos que les dan acceso. En su interior guardan retablos de diferentes estilos. The cover offers a Mannerist composition, highlighting a flown balcony that gives the building a certain civil air. Very diverse have been the repairs that this temple has undergone, those of 1668 stand out, when the Mudejar armor of the nave that was designed by Diego de Si loé is changed for the half-barrel vault with lunettes that we see now. The main chapel was remodeled in the Mannerist style, it is accessed through a large semicircular triumphal arch. It has a rectangular plan and covered with a Gothic vault, a space covered with plasterwork decoration and with canvases inlaid with the life of Saint Augustine. Therefore, forming a very balanced spatial unit, with stucco ornamentation, with fruits, shields, heads... In the central nave are the altarpieces of Santa Rita, Santa Bárbara and the Chapel of the Holy Burial, as well as on the gospel side some chapels that are interesting in terms of their roofs and the architectural elements that give them access.
