This railroad bridge carries trains on two railway routes. The two routes that use the bridge are the Hallam Line and the Pontefract Line.

The two lines split at Methley junction to the south east of this bridge and at this point the bridge is between Woodlesford and Normanton Stations on the Hallam Line and Woodlesford and Castleford stations on the Pontefract Line.
