These plaques are in the walkway in the middle of the parking lot for the library. They run up and down the sides of the walkway as you enter the library and civic center.
The plaque says, "The City of Mission Viejo honors
Jason D. Peto
who died December 7, 2010
during Operation Enduring Freedom
while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps
3rd Barcalion, 5th Marine Regiment,
1st Marine Division,
I Marine Expeditionary Force.
He will be remembered
as a hometown hero who made the
ultimate sacrifice for his country."
