"De minibieb van stichting de Werkwijzer in Oldenzaal is naast boeken gevuld met eten en verzorgingsproducten. Initiatiefneemster Annette Rosons hoort veel schrijnende verhalen en wil iets doen voor deze mensen. “Mensen kunnen wel bij de voedselbank aankloppen, maar dan komen ze nog eten tekort.”
“Ik heb wat maandverband en tampons gebracht”, zegt buurtbewoner Mia Vloothuis. Zij hoorde van het initiatief en besloot menstruatieproducten te brengen. “Er zijn vrouwen en meisjes die zakdoekjes en closetpapier gebruiken, omdat zij geen tampons kunnen betalen.”
De kast is goedgevuld met allerlei producten, waaronder shampoo, eten in blik en menstruatieproducten. “Er wordt van alles gebracht”, zegt Annette. Er worden tot nu toe meer spullen gebracht dan opgehaald. “Voor het ophalen van voedsel moeten mensen nog een drempel over, maar het begint te lopen.”
Verschil maken
“Je hoort dat er mensen zijn die het zwaar hebben in deze tijd, zoals gezinnen die van vijftig euro per week rond moeten komen”, zegtAnnette Rosons.
Het idee ontstond toen er ruimte over was in de kast. Samen met de mensen van de dagbesteding, van stichting Werkwijzer, kwam Annette op het idee om hier voedsel in te zetten. Met de minibieb hopen zij verschil te maken: “Als we het samen doen, moet het toch lukken.”

“I brought some sanitary napkins and tampons,” says local resident Mia Vloothuis. She heard about the initiative and decided to bring menstrual products. “There are women and girls who use tissues and toilet paper because they cannot afford tampons.”
The cupboard is well stocked with all kinds of products, including shampoo, canned food and menstrual products. “Everything is brought,” says Annette. So far more items are delivered than collected. “People still have to cross a threshold to collect food, but it is starting to take off.”
Make a difference
“You hear that there are people who are having a hard time during this time, such as families who have to live on fifty euros a week,” says Annette Rosons.
The idea came when there was space left in the closet. Together with the people from the daytime activities, from the Methoder foundation, Annette came up with the idea of using food here. They hope to make a difference with the mini library: "If we do it together, it should work."
