The Garden Club of Norfolk planted a pine tree at the north side of Town Hill in Norfolk, Massachusetts, in August 2020. It was dedicated to COVID-19 pandemic essential workers on Sunday, October 18, 2020. It is on the south side of Main Street and northeast of the library on the central public common lawn. Within the circular mulch bed surrounding the base of the evergreen, a small granite block with an angled face holds a cast bronze plaque which faces the park's walking path and reads:

From the Garden Club of Norfolk website, "The club wanted to honor the bravery and sacrifice of essential workers during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic including frontline heroes: doctors, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals treating people with COVID-19 and the unsung heroes, including policemen, firemen, teachers, grocery store clerks, delivery drivers, food service providers, and mail carriers, among many others, who are putting their lives at risk each day to keep us and our families safe.
