[GER] Das Ozeaneum in Stralsund ist ein zur Stiftung Deutsches Meeresmuseum gehörendes Naturkundemuseum mit dem Schwerpunkt Meer.

Im Ozeaneum werden verschiedene Wasser- und Lebenswelten aus Ostsee, Nordsee und Nordatlantik präsentiert. Das Ozeaneum zeigt die fünf Dauerausstellungen „Weltmeer - Vielfalt des Lebens“, „Ostsee - Das Meer in unserer Mitte“, „Erforschung und Nutzung der Meere“, „Meer für Kinder“ und „1:1 Riesen der Meere“, diese werden durch Sonderausstellungen ergänzt.

Auf dem Dachterasse befindet das Gehege der Humboldt-Pinguine.

[ENG] The Ozeaneum in Stralsund is a natural history museum belonging to the German Oceanographic Museum Foundation with a focus on the sea.

The Ozeaneum presents various water and living worlds from the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the North Atlantic. The Ozeaneum shows the five permanent exhibitions "World Ocean - Diversity of Life", "Baltic Sea - The Sea in Our Midst", "Exploration and Use of the Seas", "Sea for Children" and "1:1 Giants of the Seas", these are supplemented by special exhibitions.

On the roof terrace is the enclosure of the Humboldt penguins.

Visit Instructions:
Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
