Its constructive history is confusing, since it presents a mixture of elements. It seems clear that the current church was built on top of another late-Romanesque church, from the second half of the 13th century, of which the presbytery and the first section of the three naves remain, the Gospel wall with its corresponding doorway, and probably the lower body of the church. tower. The maintenance of these broad sectors of the previous church made it necessary to draw the new one with forced footing, and in this way it shows certain irregularities in its plan. The current temple would begin in the second half of the fifteenth century, surely ending before the turn of the century.
The church of Santiago is a stone building made in successive phases. The space is divided into three naves, with a very low chapel, covered with a simple ogive vault on attached columns with schematic capitals and an oven vault pointing to the apse. To the outside, a pointed window with spillage and corbels with very simple decorations. On the exterior wall on the Gospel side there is a pointed arch for burial. On this side the windows are flared. The entire wall on the Gospel side is from the same time as the main chapel, with simple corbels and buttresses located three meters below the eaves. The upper area of ??the wall corresponds to the extension of the church. There is also a portal with a simple pointed arch.
