NL In Miniworld kan je op de trap van de begane grond naar de kelder een vitrinekast vinden met meerdere prijzen. Het is door de ANWB in 2012, 2013 en 2015 uitgekozen als ‘leukste uitje van Zuid-Holland’. Ik ben er ook al meerdere keren geweest en ik (en mijn vader en dochter in dit specifieke geval dat we er waren) vind dat helemaal terecht!

Miniworld Rotterdam biedt een verrassend dagje uit. Hier is voor iedereen wel wat te beleven. Kom langs en ontdek ruim 650 m2 van deze prachtige en adembenemende miniatuurwereld. Sfeervolle en uitgestrekte polderland- schappen worden afgewisseld met de moderne en historische architectuur van ons "Rotterdam in miniatuur", inclusief de grootste overdekte miniatuurhaven van Europa. Kijk goed en ontdek de vele opmerkelijke details en verhalen van deze unieke wereld.

Let op... in Miniworld Rotterdam duurt een dag maar 24 minuten. Voor je het weet wordt het nacht en fonkelen duizenden lampjes in het donker. Als de dag weer aanbreekt, ontwaken de 27.000 inwoners en komt de wereld tot leven. Overal snellen treinen naar hun bestemming. Vrachtwagens brengen hun lading naar de grootste miniatuurhaven van Europa... alles is in beweging! Eén ding verandert nooit: het weer is hier altijd prachtig, want Miniworld is een binnenattractie, met airco!

Momenteel bouwen wij aan de grootste uitbreiding van onze mininatuurwereld sinds 2009, namelijk een ruim 190 m2 groot bouwdeel met het thema Groot-Brittannië. Van de krijtrotsen van Dover, via de glooiende heuvels van midden Engeland, tot de spectaculaire bergen in de Schotse Highlands. Natuurlijk komt de rijke spoorhistorie ruim aan bod met vele spectaculaire viaducten, bruggen en (historische) spoorlijnen die Engeland en Schotland kenmerken. Engeland is al voor een groot deel gereed. Schotland staat in de startblokken. Dit project biedt daarom een mooi kijkje achter de schermen van hoe wij onze miniatuurwereld bouwen.
ENG In Miniworld you can find a display cabinet with several prizes on the stairs from the ground floor to the basement. It was selected by the ANWB in 2012, 2013 and 2015 as 'the best outing in South Holland'. I've also been there several times and I (and my father and daughter in this particular case when we were there) think it's totally justified!

Miniworld Rotterdam offers a surprising day out. There is something for everyone to experience here. Come and discover more than 650 m2 of this beautiful and breathtaking miniature world. Atmospheric and expansive polder landscapes alternate with the modern and historic architecture of our "Rotterdam in miniature", including the largest covered miniature harbor in Europe. Look closely and discover the many remarkable details and stories of this unique world.

Please note... in Miniworld Rotterdam a day only lasts 24 minutes. Before you know it, it will be night and thousands of lights will twinkle in the dark. When the day dawns again, the 27,000 inhabitants awaken and the world comes to life. Everywhere trains rush to their destination. Trucks bring their cargo to the largest miniature harbor in Europe... everything is moving! One thing never changes: the weather is always beautiful here, because Miniworld is an indoor attraction, with air conditioning!

We are currently building the largest expansion of our miniature nature world since 2009, namely a building section of over 190 m2 with the theme of Great Britain. From the chalk cliffs of Dover, through the rolling hills of central England, to the spectacular mountains of the Scottish Highlands. Of course, the rich railway history is well covered with many spectacular viaducts, bridges and (historic) railway lines that characterize England and Scotland. England is already largely ready. Scotland is in the starting blocks. This project therefore offers a nice look behind the scenes of how we build our miniature world.
