Ice skating association Wintervreugd (Winter Joy) was founded on February 27, 1933 and offers many sporting opportunities. At least, if there is natural ice and the track can be opened.

"The Wintervreugd ice rink is located in a beautiful location in the peat, west of the Oudemolenseweg. During the war years, the track was dug by the residents with a shovel. Then every inhabitant of the village had a piece of peat to dredge there. Peat was an important fuel at the time.

The board manages the natural ice rink and keeps the rink, canteen and machines in good condition to provide the many skating enthusiasts with a nice rink when there is sufficient ice (minimum thickness 8 cm). As soon as the track opens, this will be reported immediately on this site.

Membership costs € 5 per family per season. About 110 families are members of Winter Joy.
