The Vale School-Community House is a historic two-room school built in 1884 and expanded to two rooms in 1912. It is a wood-framed building with a concrete foundation topped with a school bell. A draw well sits out front and was added in 1951. The school closed in 1931 and opened as a community house in 1935. In 2011, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Visiting:
Due to it being privately owned, please contact the Vale Schoolhouse prior to visiting as parking is gated off. However, if there are people there and they have time, a tour might be given.
