This green-scaled dragon can be found in the centre of Dundee at the eastern end of the High Street near the junction with Commercial Street and Murraygate. It was created by artist Tony Marrow in 1994 from a concept by Dundee art teacher Alister Smart.

The dragon hails from a legend of a farmer at Pitempton, north of the city, who had nine daughters, and sent one to fetch a pail of water. When she did not return, he sent another to look for her, and when she did not return either, he eventually sent all nine out. When none of them returned, he went out himself and found a fearsome dragon alongside their remains. The farmer fled and instructed Martin, the lover of his eldest daughter to deal with the dragon. Martin and most of the local villagers hunted down and slayed the beast. The spot where the dragon fell is now marked by Martin's Stone, and the village of Strathmartine is thought to be named after him.
