It is an allegory of the Aurora, located on a chariot drawn by four horses. In his right hand he holds up a torch, as a symbol of the light with which he illuminates the world every morning. In the competition that failed in 1876, the creation of this sculpture was awarded to Andreu Aleu, but after his resignation, Rossend Nobas took over. The commission was not formalized until 1883, so it was the last sculpture to be placed, already in 1888. Its weight of thirty tons forced the architect Elies Rogent to reinforce the structure of the waterfall to support the work. The iconography of this sculpture is not related to that of the rest of the set, focused on aquatic themes, and seems to respond to an initiative by Josep Fontserè, of republican ideology, relating the ideas of light and freedom.
