As say this person: "The Cathedral of Malaga has two sets of bells of great interest, although not too old. On the one hand, the three bells of the clock, managed by their corresponding mechanism, a rather unusual case in the Cathedrals of Spain, and which must be maintained due to its extraordinary value. On the other hand, the cathedral has twelve bells arranged in the Andalusian manner, that is, three on each side, and the largest between the other two. In this temple, only two of the four largest central ones are fixed, while another two, large, were traditionally turned, as well as the other eight of the smaller windows. This set ringing of ten bells was a unique feature of the Cathedral, with the counterpoint of the two largest fixed ones, and must be maintained. There are also various relationships of touches that must be taken into account when programming the engines and the general conception of the restoration. The bells of the clock are completed with a carillon with 24 tuned bells, not equipped with a manual keyboard. The choice of this carillon was "correctly wrong" if the expression is allowed, since they are well-tuned bells, of high musical quality, but of medium size and profile, so they are barely inaudible from the street, due to the great height of the tower. For this, they should have recommended bells with a thick profile, and therefore more powerful sound, or place them at a lower height."
