A square bronze plaque Historical Marker is attached to the brickwork of the Orientation Table near the HMQS Gayundah wreck.

This square bronze plaque is fixed by four bolts to the orange brick structure that looks a little like a fish cleaning bench with a basin at the southern end of it. The plaque is on the road side of the structure. The cast inscription of the patinaed plaque reads:

LAUNCHED NEWCASTLE ON TYNE
13th MARCH 1884 SPEED 10 KNOTS
ARMAMENT 1-8" 1-6" B.L. GUNS.
