The two-storey Hotel was built in 1925 in classic styling. It seems on later researching that while it is open for meals and accommodation 7 days/weeks, that the bar is only open on Friday and Saturday nights to 10pm. TripAdvisor has good reviews for the service, food, value and atmosphere. No children allowed in the accommodation (must be 18+ years).
