El desastre.
La explosión de gas en la calle Gaspar Arroyo de Palencia aconteció el 1 de mayo de 2007 y provocó un total de 9 fallecidos y 4 heridos de diferente grado de afectación, junto con la destrucción total del inmueble nº 4 de la calle Gaspar Arroyo, y los muy afectados número 2,6 y 5 de esa misma calle, cuyos trabajos indagatorios se realizaron de forma conjunta con la Investigación Oficial, y para lo cual se ha acudido a ese escenario un total de cuatro comparecencias, ya que se requirió trabajos de desescombro total del inmueble 4 y parte de los 2 y 6, así como apertura de conducciones y pruebas de estanqueidad de las mismas.
El homenaje.
Una estatua de 3,20 metros y cinco toneladas de peso en acero, titulada 'Memoria de un instante', del artista vasco Jesús Lizaso, a las más de 1.100 víctimas contabilizadas por explosiones de gas en España y ocurridas en las últimas décadas.
La inauguración del monumento fue el 1 de mayo de 2010, y el acto fue organizado por la Asociación de Víctimas y Afectados de Gaspar Arroyo en el tercer aniversario de la explosión de gas del 1 de mayo de 2007.

The disaster.
The gas explosion in Gaspar Arroyo street in Palencia occurred on May 1, 2007 and caused a total of 9 deaths and 4 injuries of different degrees of affectation, along with the total destruction of property number 4 on Gaspar Arroyo street, and the very affected numbers 2, 6 and 5 of that same street, whose investigative work was carried out jointly with the Official Investigation, and for which a total of four appearances have been attended at that stage, since debris removal work was required total of the building 4 and part of the 2 and 6, as well as opening of conduits and tightness tests of the same.
The tribute.
A 3.20-meter, five-ton steel statue, entitled 'Memory of an Instant', by the Basque artist Jesús Lizaso, to the more than 1,100 victims of gas explosions in Spain that have occurred in recent decades.
The inauguration of the monument was on May 1, 2010, and the act was organized by the Association of Victims and Affected of Gaspar Arroyo on the third anniversary of the gas explosion on May 1, 2007.
