RV 899 (JF0845) - Hutchinson, KS - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This rivit is on the north side of the tracks, just west of S. Maple Street. You can park just north of the rivit, and there is no need to walk on or across the tracks to view the benchmark. It was very nearly buried under dirt and gravel on the day of my visit. Old photos (no longer available as geocaching wiped out their benchmark recovery database) showed blue paint highlighting the rivit. If it was used then, it doesn't appear to be of any value to the local surveyors today.
