La placa en cuestión está ubicada en Via Margutta , en el distrito de Campo Marzio , y conmemora al pintor y partisano Giordano Bruno Ferrari (Roma 1887 - Roma 1944), hijo del escultor y político radical Ettore Ferrari, durante la Resistencia que sirvió en el Frente Militar Clandestino -a pesar de ser republicano- y en su propio estudio, ubicado donde hoy está la placa, organizó una base de antifascistas. Detenido por los alemanes, Ferrari recibió un disparo en Forte Bravetta el 24 de mayo de 1944.
La placa está coronada por un busto simple, insertado en un pequeño nicho en la pared.
Giordano Bruno Ferrari era hijo del escultor y político radical Ettore Ferrari , autor del monumento a Giordano Bruno , inaugurado en 1889 en la Piazza Campo de'Fiori , en Roma .
Graduado en la Academia de Bellas Artes de su ciudad natal, Ferrari formó parte del grupo denominado los Veinticinco de la Campaña romana . La campiña romana fue, de hecho, su principal interés artístico, como lo demuestran numerosas obras ejecutadas con diversas técnicas, desde el óleo hasta la acuarela .
También fue autor de pinturas figurativas y decoraciones murales, pero su vida artística estuvo entrelazada con la política. Se alistó y sirvió en la Primera Guerra Mundial , dejando la Exposición Universal de San Francisco de 1914 en California, donde había hecho algunas pinturas.
De 1928 a 1938 fue secretario técnico de la redacción de la Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani para la parte ilustrativa.
Durante la Resistencia , a pesar de ser republicano , sirvió en el frente militar clandestino , fundado por el coronel Giuseppe Cordero Lanza di Montezemolo entre los soldados del Ejército Real , fieles al juramento prestado a la monarquía . Creó un centro antifascista en su estudio de via Margutta para la recopilación de información confidencial, que se transmitía a los Aliados ; el 13 de marzo de 1944 fue pues arrestado por los alemanes y torturado, pero como no reveló nada, fue condenado a muerte el 27 de abril y fusilado el 24 de mayo en Forte Bravetta, donde hoy figura en la lista de los mártires .

Giordano Bruno Ferrari was the son of the radical sculptor and politician Ettore Ferrari, author of the monument to Giordano Bruno, inaugurated in 1889 in Piazza Campo de'Fiori, in Rome.
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown, Ferrari was part of the group called the Twenty-five of the Roman Campaign. The Roman countryside was, in fact, his main artistic interest, as evidenced by numerous works executed in various techniques, from oil to watercolour.
He was also the author of figurative paintings and wall decorations, but his artistic life was intertwined with politics. He enlisted and served in World War I, leaving the 1914 San Francisco World's Fair for California, where he had done some paintings.
From 1928 to 1938 he was technical secretary of the editorial staff of the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia for the illustrative part.
During the Resistance , despite being a republican , he served in the clandestine military front , founded by Colonel Giuseppe Cordero Lanza di Montezemolo among the soldiers of the Royal Army , faithful to the oath taken to the monarchy . He created an anti-fascist center in his studio on via Margutta for the collection of confidential information, which was passed on to the Allies; On March 13, 1944, he was therefore arrested by the Germans and tortured, but since he did not reveal anything, he was sentenced to death on April 27 and shot on May 24 at Forte Bravetta, where today he appears on the list of martyrs.
