El Museo central del Risorgimento en el Vittoriano en Roma es un espacio de exhibición construido en 1935 y abierto al público en 1970 Está dedicado a la era Risorgimento. Se encuentra en los espacios monumentales bajo el pórtico y los dos propileos. La entrada está a la izquierda del Vittoriano, a través de una escalera en Via San Pietro in Carcere. También forma parte del complejo el Ala Brasini, hoy rebautizada como Gallerie delle Arti e delle Scienze, un edificio situado a la izquierda del Vittoriano, en la parte trasera de la basílica del Ara Coeli .
El Museo Central del Risorgimento en el Vittoriano ilustra un período de la historia italianaentre finales del siglo XVIII y la Primera Guerra Mundial que se describe a través de la exposición de reliquias, pinturas, esculturas, documentos (cartas, diarios y manuscritos ), dibujos, grabados , armas y estampas. La primera intención de fundar un museo del Risorgimento en Roma ocurrió en 1906 junto con el establecimiento de la Sociedad Nacional del Risorgimento. Este último, a partir de 1908, comenzó a publicar un periódico nacional titulado El Risorgimento. En 1935, durante la era fascista, el Instituto de Historia del Risorgimento italiano tomó el lugar de la disuelta Società Nazionale del Risorgimento. Al mismo tiempo, se construyó el Museo central del Risorgimento en el Vittoriano, que se completó en 1935.
A pesar de que la intención de abrir el Museo central del Risorgimento en el Vittoriano se mantuvo viva durante décadas, el espacio expositivo fue inaugurado y abierto al público recién el 2 de octubre de 1970 con motivo de la conmemoración del centenario del plebiscito que decretó la anexión, de Lacio al Reino de Italia.
