The N. Wilson Mountain Trail begins at the Encinoso Picnic Area. The trailhead and parking lot are on the west side of Highway 89A, a few miles north of downtown Sedona. According to internet sources, there is a $5 fee to enter. According to the forest service website: Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful Pass required to park at the trailhead.

All trails website states this trail has a 2,634 elevation gain and takes about 6 hours to complete. After the first 2.2 miles, hikers will join at the Wilson Mountain Trail
