SBMXB 5 - Sublette County, Wyoming - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This is one of four 2022 Wyoming Department of Transportation survey markers that I recovered along Muddy Ridge Road; I did not find any markers to the south of SBMXB 5 and couldn't spot any to the north of SBMXB 8. SBMXB 5 is located at the first switchback in Muddy Ridge Road as it descends to cross the Big Sandy River. The marker is about 20 feet to the northwest of the centerline of the main road, and about 20 feet east of the centerline of a two-track road that takes a steep direct path to the bridge (not recommended to drive on unless you're on an OHV-type vehicle). The marker is set flush with the ground and was covered with a thin layer of dirt when I found it (due to storm runoff). It is about 2 feet to the southeast of a T-post with a gold-painted top and is set in the top of a round concrete post.
