This historic school house was built in 1926 but the site dates to 1880. This is a typical school house from that era but many of them like it are now gone. This area of Ripley County is in the bootheel geographic area of Missouri. You can see examples of forested wetlands next to the historic building as well as some rolling sandy soils that make up some of the richest farmlands in Missouri.
