A cream curved Bessa block retaining wall faces the river, below a white random sandstone block wall with a grey-painted metal sheet outer. On the stone wall are many rectangular, polished black marble, with gilt infill to the engraved name and years of the many conflicts represented. Four large rectangular prism polished marble stela each have an emblem of a Service. The date of the Dedication - 1st November 2014 - may seem a little strange, but it commemorates a centenary of the departure of the First AIF to the Great War. A Nautical Flagpole stands between the memorial and Nambucca River. An ANZAC style grey-painted silhouette metal cut-out is immediately to the left.
