Located in the West Blalock Park is the Monty Andrews Arboretum. The entrance to the arboretum has an arbor with engraved pavers. It is within this arbor that the memorial to Monty Andrews can be found.

Monty also participated with the
City of Venice Parks and
Recreation Advisory Board, the
Sarasota County Parks and Advisory and
Recreation Council and
Venice Area Beautification, Inc.
The Venice City Council in 2006 approved the creation of an arboretum in West Blalock Park, following the recommendation of citizen volunteers. Situated on 4.5 acres the arboretum was later named after one of its prime advocates, Monty Andrews.
