M K T Railroad History Along the Katy Trail.

Katy Trail is the old Railroad route of the Missouri,Kansas,Texas Railway "M K T, or "Katy" for short". It has been a long while since the sound of the locomotive ran across the tracks at Boonville,Missouri.

My visit sent me back in time as I first crossed the River Lewis and Clark passed by on. The restored and maintained Historic pieces of history here is truly amazing. The MKT Railroad Station was a surprise while looking for a way to get to the Bridge and get a better look. And more of a surprise when I started searching the History. The Mural and Court House,The original Coca Cola signs on the Historic buildings,The Fredrick,I could go on and on. There are over 200 buildings on the National Register.

This is a great stop or starting point for a Little Railroad History.
