This disk was set in 1938 by a party led by Theodore Homkowicz for a Geodetic Survey of Boston. The results of the triangulation were published in 1942, from which the to-reach comes:

"GROUND TRANSFER POINT, 'BRIHY' C.P.B. DISC No 31 — (First order traverse point No. G32/0).
Description: This point is a C.P.B. disc set in curb on the north side of Warren Street.
Northwest 45.48' from c.c. [chiseled/cut cross] on sewer M.H. [manhole]
East 46.25' from c.c. on M.H.
Southeast 54.85' from c.c. on gas lt. pole."

The coordinates, based on the MA state Lambert projection (C&GS adjustment 1941), are X = 695864.61, Y = 492054.98.
