Conneaut Creek begins in Crawford County, PA near Linesville, PA and empties into Lake Erie in Ashtabula County, Ohio in the city of Conneaut. The stream starts on the north side of Ruheville Road as a trickle coming from a thicketed wetland on someone's property. This trickle drains into a culvert by the road and goes under the road where it heads south for a mile or so. It turns east for a few miles and then north west, wending gradually over many miles until it reaches Ohio. The creek is popular for fishing and some of it parallels the remains of the Erie Extension Canal in Crawford County.
