The Saga of the Norseman

The Mark V Norseman was first constructed in 1934 by RBC (Bob) Noordyun in Montreal. He consulted with northern pilots and operators on northern bush operations and aircraft requirements.

This aircraft had a long reliable career starting with the Manitoba government in September 1946. Almost 1000 of this hardy aircraft were constructed and used around the world.

The Aerospace Museum Association of Calgary, PetroCanada Centre Owners RCI brought this plane to the building. It was placed in 1984 and dedicated to the Bush Pilots who opened the north.
