The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry opened in 1933 is a very large museum with many different exhibits across a broad spectrum of topics. Some of their displays are very large including the actual U505 u-bout, locomotives, and Boeing 727 aircraft. The museum also has temporary exhibits which run six months to a year in duration which are very well done. The museum also has a Omnimax theater. The museum occupies the former Palace of Fine Arts from the 1893 Worlds Fair, the last remaining major structure from the fair.
