I was surprised to find this and did extensive internet research to try to learn more about the Butterfield Overland Mail in Missouri of which I could find quite a bit. (visit link)
This site commemmorates this mail route 1858-1861 and reads, "Cassville, the last town on the route of the Butterfield Mail in Missouri. Was not a relay station but the coaches stopped for mail and passengers."
Visit Instructions:
1) Locate and photograph a monument or memorial to the Pony Express, be it a stone or a mural or a roadside sign.

3) Include the coordinates of the location and the name of the city or town in your log.

4) Feel free to include as much history as you'd like. Educate us!
