A bronze plaque is attached to a large boulder along the Riverwalk in Isle View Park. The Remember the Children memorial plaque reads as follows:
"On April 19, 1995, the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was the site of a bombing that shocked the world. A total of 168 innocent people were tragically killed. Victims included government workers, military personnel and members of the community.
Based inside the Federal Building was a children's day care facility known as America's Kids. The hardest felt loss of this senseless tragedy were the lives of 19 of 'America's Kids.' These children played no role in society's conflicts, hatreds or prejudices, and yet they paid the ultimate price. This tree was planted in their memory, lest we never forget the children, and the other innocent victims who perished on that fateful day."
