The First Presbyterian Church of Florence 1931
This second-oldest Presbyterian Church in continuous usage in Arizona was founded in 1888. The present building was designed by architects Wallingford and Bell of Phoenix in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, with mission-type tile on the roof. George Smith and Sons of Florence furnished word-fired bricks and built the church with help from church volunteers and inmates of the Arizona State Prison.
