On the Kansas-Nebraska border south of Rulo, Nebraska a trail leads to a survey monument on a bluff top. About half way to the top there's a kiosk with a handmade wooden sign relating the history of the 19th century rail line that ran through this area.

Near the marker a number of the concrete posts from the railroad fence still remain.,

The trail begins at a small footbridge a short distance north of the Point Of Beginning Nebraska Historical marker by the roadside.
