On Glenside Drive in suburban Lafayette California stands the Layafette Christian Church
Right next to the front entrance of this simple church is a somewhat nondescript peace pole
It only has four sides - English, Spanish, Russian and Chinese. It's not landscaped in any way and a nearby bush is growing into it.
Still, it's right next to the front door, right where you can see it as you go in and out. Not hidden away in some garden, the members see this peace pole every time they visit.
