Boblo Island Detroit Dock - Detroit, MI - Dixie Highway on Waymarking.com

The Boblo Boats haven't run for along time, Boblo Island has become privately owned. It used to be you could pick up the boat and make a pleasure run out to the island that was filled with all different kinds of entertainment. Those old enough to remember going to the island speak with a gleem in their eye and a deep sadness in their hearts.

Rumor, though, has it they're thinking about getting the Boblo boats going again, even though they won't be going to the island. Which may be why this "ghost sign" looks somewhat recently touched-up.
