The Puget Sound stretches much of the length of Western Washington, starting up in the Port Townsend area and ending near the capitol in Olympia.

The Puget Sound has played a big part in the history of how the cities of Western Washington formed and its ports manage a steady flow of imports and exports to Asia.
Because it is so large there are many places that I could have chosen coordinates. These coordinates are for Point Wilson, a point of land located at the entrance to the Puget Sound from the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Photos in the gallery however are from many different locations around the sound.
