On Saturday, February 2, 2008, in what the police are describing as a robbery gone wrong, a man walks into the Lane Bryant woman's clothing store and ends up shooting and killing five women.
However, there were six women in the store. Initial police reports did not mention the sixth woman because she survived and was able to describe the suspect. The police withheld this information as long as possible to protect her safety.
If you recognize the suspect, you are urged to call the Tinley Park, IL police at 708-444-5349. There is currently at total of $100,000 combined reward money for this suspect.
The Lane Bryant store current has the feel that is only under construction, but the red police tape across the front door handles show the truth.
Lane Bryant's parent company (who immediately fronted $50,000 of the $100,000 reward) has not revealed what the future plans are for the store.
