Marker Location: US-41 & Guager Rd. (CR-110N), 1 mile N. of Oaktown.

Marker Text:
First settlement, 1808-1812, of a religious society of celibates known as Shakers. The four hundred members of this communal group occupied 1,300 acres seven miles west of Carlisle.
