This lighthouse sits at the back of the Crossroads of the World, a nautically designed business area in Hollywood.A complex of buildings designed by Robert V Derrah in 1937. The central building is in the form of a ship, while the surrounding structures are in a variety of European styles. It was one of the most prominent "shopping centers" of the 1930's. Declared a Historic Landmark on December 4, 1974.
