[FR] Dans cet aquarium, situé au niveau -2 de la Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie en sortant vers la Géode, et pour le quel l'entrée et gratuit à tous, les animaux partagent l'espace à peu près comme ils le feraient dans la nature : en recherchant l'habitat qui correspond le mieux à leurs besoins, en adaptant leur comportement aux contraintes du milieu. Pourtant, l'eau de mer est synthetique, les rochers sont en polyester, la nourriture et la température sont contrôlées par des techniciens.
D'une vitrine à l'autre, le paysage donne une idée de ce qu'un plongeur découvre lorsqu'il descend depuis la surface jusque vers 50 mètres, sans s'eloigner du rivage ...
[EN] Situated on level -2 of the Paris Science and Industrie museum, near the exit towards the Géode IMAX theater, this aquarium is free to all visitors. The animals share the space a bit like they would in nature : in seeking out the habitat which corresponds best to their needs, and in adapting their behavior to the constraints of their surroundings. However, the sea water is artificial, the rocks are made of polyester, and the food and temperature are controlled by technicians.
From one window to the next, the landscape gives an idea of what a diver would discover when descending from the surface down to 50 meters, staying within the coastal area ...
A wide variety species can be observed here including octupus, eels, stonefish, damsel fish, blennies, wrasses, and groupers.
