Although this is appears dry, this is described as a 'Dutch ford' or an 'Irish bridge', where at low flow the water goes under the road through pipes. It soon covers the road as pipes are small. The nearby cottage is called 'Pulham Water Cottage' and the road junction to the south is Codicote and Kimpton Roads.
