Located at the end of Buchanan Street in Albany, this informal park was formerly the site of the town dump. After the dump closed, it became a homeless encampment and site for impromptu, outsider art created out of found pieces of garbage. Now it is officially a park with a couple of miles of rugged trails and is still is home to a large amount of art--some is breathtaking, some prosaic, and some just weird. Graffiti and creating art seem to be part of the park's program. Graffiti changes frequently, so the images posted are simply those I found this season.
Coordinates posted are for the nearest public parking. The exit off of I-80 is Marin Street/Buchanan Street.
