This post office is part of the original Master Plan for the Marin Civic Center and the first building actually constructed. It is located across the street from the main complex. It is elliptically-shaped and constructed of concrete block. The cantilevered portico appears to slice through the front wall. One of the more interesting features was a large plastic globe of the world originally located on the front of the building. Unfortunately, it was vandalized and removed because the plastic was cracked and has never been replaced.
