Marker Name: Elisha Barnes
Marker Text: In 1867, with his son and several other men, Elisha Barnes settled in the Ochoco Valley. The site was 3 miles east of Prineville on Ochoco Creek. In the 1870’s, Barnes moved into Prineville and built this house.
